Craftsmanship, bold design, and building spaces that actually mean something
Custom building and carpentry is another side of what I do, and it reflects the same mindset I bring into everything else. It’s hands on, detail focused, and driven by a real appreciation for doing things the right way.
In my spare time, I enjoy creating custom spaces that bring craftsmanship and bold design together. One of the most recent projects was a custom bar and prep bar built inside one of my homes. It wasn’t just about building something functional, it was about creating something with presence, something that feels strong, intentional, and built with real purpose.
Real craftsmanship says something about the person behind the work
Out of the hundreds of projects Moses Koktsidis has taken on throughout his lifetime, this is one of his most recent builds that he wanted to share. It reflects not only the finished work itself, but the way he approaches creating something from the ground up with vision, patience, and care.
There is something powerful about being able to build with your hands. It reveals patience, taste, discipline, imagination, and the willingness to do things the right way instead of the easy way. For Moses Koktsidis, custom building and carpentry is not random side work. It is another expression of how he thinks and how he creates.
Whether the project is mechanical, business related, or design focused, the same pattern shows up again and again. He likes structure. He likes detail. He likes style. And he likes bringing strong ideas to life in a way that feels substantial, polished, and memorable.
That is what makes this page important. It shows another dimension of Moses, one built around craftsmanship, design instinct, and the ability to create beautiful spaces that feel bold, intentional, and deeply personal.
"I have always loved the process of bringing strong ideas to life"
Custom building work gives Moses something he has always valued deeply, the chance to create something real, lasting, and visually powerful from the ground up. It combines his eye for design with his hands on ability and his appreciation for craftsmanship that has substance.
He is drawn to bold styles, rich finishes, clean structure, and spaces that feel elevated. That is part of what makes carpentry and custom interior work so satisfying to him. It is not just about function. It is about atmosphere, presentation, and building something that carries presence.
A recent custom bar and prep bar project built inside one of my homes
One of the clearest examples of this passion is a recent custom bar and prep bar Moses built inside one of his homes. This was more than just a useful addition to the space. It was a design decision, a craftsmanship project, and a chance to create something with real visual identity.
The goal was not to build something ordinary. It was to create a space that felt bold, refined, custom, and full of character. A bar area should carry style. It should feel inviting, elevated, and memorable. The same goes for a prep bar. When done right, these spaces become part of the personality of the home.
That is exactly what Moses enjoys, taking a strong vision, working through the details, and bringing together materials, layout, finish, and design so the final result feels custom in the truest sense of the word.
The details that make custom building work stand out
Great custom work is never just about putting materials together. It is about taste, execution, proportion, finish, and knowing how to make a space feel complete.
Finish Carpentry and Detail Work
Strong finish work is where real craftsmanship begins to show. Clean lines, balanced proportions, thoughtful trim, and polished details are what separate something ordinary from something that feels custom, refined, and intentional.
Custom Bars, Prep Areas, and Statement Spaces
Moses enjoys building spaces that immediately stand out. Bars, prep bars, entertainment areas, and custom focal points create opportunities to blend function with strong visual identity. These are the kinds of projects that allow style and craftsmanship to come together in a bold way.
Bold Style, Rich Finishes, and Strong Material Choices
Moses is drawn to spaces that have presence. He appreciates bold tones, rich textures, dramatic finishes, and combinations that feel luxurious without losing warmth. That design instinct is a major part of what gives his custom work character.
Vision, Planning, and Execution
What makes a project work is not only the build itself. It is the ability to see the finished result before it exists, work through the details, and execute it with confidence. That combination of vision and hands on skill is what gives custom projects their strength.
Plumbing, Lighting, and Electrical Integration
Great custom spaces are not just about how they look, but how they function. Plumbing, lighting, and electrical work all play a critical role in bringing a project together. Moses understands how these systems integrate into the design, making sure everything works properly while also enhancing the overall feel of the space. Clean installs, proper routing, and thoughtful lighting placement are what elevate a project from good to exceptional.
Custom Tile and Masonry Work
Tile and masonry work require precision, patience, and a strong eye for alignment and finish. Moses approaches these projects with the same attention to detail he brings to everything else, making sure patterns flow correctly, cuts are clean, and the final result feels solid, balanced, and built to last. When done properly, tile and stone work become one of the strongest visual elements in any space.
This is another place where skill, pride, and creativity come together
Custom building and carpentry is meaningful to Moses because it allows him to slow down, create, and build something beautiful with intention. It reflects the same pride and seriousness that show up in the rest of his life, whether he is working on a performance vehicle, building a business, or improving a home.
At the center of it is a real appreciation for craftsmanship. Not rushed work. Not generic work. Real work that feels strong, stylish, and built with purpose.
This project came together step by step
The images below follow the progression of this custom bar, prep bar & wine room build as it developed over time. From early stages and foundational work, through structure, detail, and finish, each step reflects the process behind bringing the vision to life.
This is what real craftsmanship looks like, not just the final result, but everything that goes into building it the right way.
Bringing everything together with a wine room and prep bar
Toward the final stages of the project, the focus shifted from structure and build to refinement and atmosphere. This is where everything starts to come together. The addition of a dedicated wine room and a fully integrated prep bar elevated the entire space and gave it a sense of completeness.
The wine room was designed to feel intentional, not just functional. It adds character, depth, and a sense of presence to the space. It becomes a focal point, something that naturally draws attention while still fitting seamlessly into the overall design.
The prep bar plays an equally important role. It brings practicality into the design while maintaining the same level of craftsmanship and finish. Clean lines, proper layout, and thoughtful integration ensure that it functions the way it should while still looking like part of a high-end custom build.
These finishing elements are what take a project from being well built to being complete. They tie everything together and give the space its identity, something that feels finished, intentional, and built with real care.
A clean, functional space built with the same level of detail
While the bar and wine room bring presence and character, the prep bar was designed to support the space with functionality and flow. Clean lines, proper layout, and thoughtful integration ensure it works exactly the way it should while still feeling like part of a cohesive, high end build.
This is just one part of what I do
Custom building and carpentry is something I truly enjoy, but it’s only one side of a much larger journey that includes automotive work, business, travel, and giving back. Each area reflects a different part of who I am and what I’ve built over the years.
