Chapter 14

Tracking Down the Exotic Coach Vehicles

I had seen them years before I ever owned them. And I made a promise to myself that one day, I would.

There was a company in Chicagoland called Exotic Coach. Back when I was younger, I remember seeing their vehicles downtown. They had everything that stood out. Porsche Cayenne limousines, Range Rovers, Audi Q7s, Mercedes SUVs. Vehicles that didn’t just blend in. They made a statement.

I was around 21 years old when I first saw them. And I remember thinking to myself, one day, I’m going to have every one of those.

“

What felt impossible at 21 eventually became something I could reach out and touch.

At that time, it felt like a dream. Something far away. Something that might not even be realistic. But I held onto it.

Years later, something unexpected happened. Exotic Coach went out of business.

When that happened, their vehicles started to appear on the market. One by one.

It still amazes me how that worked. The exact vehicles I had once admired and dreamed about started showing up for sale, almost like they were being placed in front of me.

At that point, I made a decision. I was going to track them down. Every single one that I could.

It wasn’t easy. These vehicles were scattered across the country. Different states. Different conditions. Some needed a lot of work. Some had been neglected. But I didn’t see that as a problem. I saw opportunity.

I started traveling. Flying out. Driving vehicles back. Rebuilding them. Bringing them back to life. One by one, they started becoming part of my fleet.

What once felt impossible became reality.

Looking back, that chapter means a lot to me. Because it proved something important. When you truly commit to something, when you hold onto a vision long enough, and when you’re willing to do the work, things have a way of coming together. Not by accident, but because you were ready for them when they appeared.

Vision

A promise made years earlier

This chapter is about desire, patience, timing, and what happens when a vision stays alive long enough to become real.
