Rebuilding the Shuttle Bus from Lafayette
Another rough vehicle. Another rebuild. Another reminder that what looks like the worst can still turn into something strong.
The shuttle bus out of Lafayette was one of those vehicles that most people would have passed on without thinking twice.
It didn’t look like much at first. Rough shape, a lot of work needed, and plenty of reasons for someone to walk away from it.
I never saw vehicles for what they were. I saw them for what they could become.
That mindset is what kept driving me forward through builds like this. Where others saw problems, I saw opportunity. Where others saw risk, I saw potential.
Rebuilding the shuttle bus was not easy. It took time, effort, and a lot of attention to detail. Every piece had to come together the right way, and there were plenty of challenges along the way.
The worst looking vehicles often carried the biggest opportunities.
When it was finally brought back together, it became another valuable part of the fleet. Another option. Another way to serve clients. Another piece of what was being built step by step.
Builds like this reinforced something I had already learned. The process matters. The work matters. The willingness to take on something difficult and see it through matters.
Every rebuild was another step toward something bigger.
Looking back, the Lafayette shuttle bus was just another chapter in a long line of rebuilding, refining, and pushing forward. It wasn’t glamorous, but it was necessary, and it was part of what made everything else possible.
What others walked away from became part of what I built.
Seeing potential
The ability to see what something can become is what drives real growth.
You could immediately see how rough it really was
As mentioned earlier in the story, this bus was in very rough shape when we got it...
Completely stripped down to rebuild it the right way
The interior had to be completely torn apart...
Carefully brought back to life
This is where everything starts coming together...
