The Mississippi Trip and Paper Chaser
A trip into unfamiliar territory… and a deal built on nothing but trust and energy.
The next step in the journey was when I went to purchase a C5500 chassis LG Coachworks bus.
Fantastic bus. Less than 100,000 miles, which for me is very low mileage.
But that’s what I do. I bring these vehicles back to life.
That’s how I’ve scaled my company. I buy the vehicles right, invest into them, and keep them running strong.
I found this bus online. The gentleman selling it… his name was Paper Chaser.
Located in Jackson, Mississippi. We never even spoke on the phone. Just text.
Everyone told me not to go.
Rough area, they said. But I went anyway.
The moment I shook his hand… I felt it.
18 Passenger Party Bus
This party bus was actually in very decent shape when I found it. Everything was well put together, and you could tell it was built with care.
That is something you do not always see in this industry.
Most of the work that needed to be done was centered around the LED lighting, specifically in the dance floor areas around the poles. From there, it was mainly detail work — tightening things up and bringing everything back to where it should be.
For the most part, the bus was already in great shape, which made the process much more about refinement than full restoration.
The coach itself was built by LGE Coachworks , and they did a very nice job on this build.
It is always refreshing to come across a vehicle like this — one that does not need to be completely rebuilt, but simply refined and brought back to its full potential.
There was good energy there.
The bus checked out. Clean underneath. Strong unit.
Me and Paper Chaser went to the bank together and completed the deal right there.
And at the end of it all… his mama came up to me and gave me a hug.
It just goes to show you… people from all walks of life can come together.
