Chapter 07

The Financial Crisis Almost Losing Everything

There was a moment in this journey where everything could have been gone.

Around 2009 to 2010, the financial crisis hit, and it hit hard.

At that time, I was already in the limousine business, trying to grow, trying to build something. But when the economy shifted, everything changed. Work slowed down. Pressure increased. And the weight of everything I had taken on started to feel very real.

“

Whatever money you make, don’t spend it all. You have to save it for the next storm.

I remember being in my room, sitting there, praying that I wouldn’t lose everything. That’s how serious it was. It wasn’t just stress. It was fear. Real fear that everything I had worked for could disappear.

I was young. I was still learning. I didn’t fully understand the financial structure of a business yet. I didn’t fully understand how to prepare for something like that. All I knew was that I had to keep going.

During that time, my father was there for me in a way I will never forget. He supported me mentally. He supported me emotionally. And he even helped me financially when I needed it most. He was a hardworking man, a laborer, a steelworker, and he stood by me when things were at their worst.

I remember something he told me that stayed with me forever. He said, “Son, whatever money you make, don’t spend it all. You have to save it for the next storm.”

That lesson changed how I thought about everything.

I worked. I pushed. I drove. I did whatever I had to do to keep things going. It wasn’t easy. There were a lot of sleepless nights, a lot of pressure, and a lot of moments where I questioned how it was all going to work out.

But I didn’t stop.

Slowly, things started to stabilize. I was able to work through the debt. I was able to keep the business alive. And I came out of that period with something much more valuable than money. I came out with experience, discipline, and a completely different understanding of what it takes to survive.

Looking back now, that was one of the hardest chapters in my journey. But it was also one of the most important. Because it taught me that no matter how difficult things get, you keep going. You adjust. You learn. And you survive.

Survival

The storm that changed everything

This chapter was not about growth. It was about endurance, discipline, faith, and learning how to survive when everything felt uncertain.
